Abstract

Defines the password used to validate the creation of new lists.


Example

z/VM:

CREATEPW = 'SECRET'

Unix:

CREATEPW="SECRET" 

Windows:

CREATEPW=SECRET


Details

This setting is obsolete and deprecated, as all POSTMASTER-restricted commands may be validated with the postmaster's personal password.  Setting CREATEPW to the special value *NOPW* tells LISTSERV to disable CREATEPW entirely; this is the recommended setting.


Default Value

None. This parameter must be set explicitly.
